(27) They had no children. Jeanettte was active in the Episcopal Church and was treasurer for 5 years and also worked with the women of the Diocese. She was a member of Monroe Chapter #57 OES.

She was married to Holt Matthews EDSON (son of Robert Rankin EDSON and Bertha Christine MATTHEWES) on 8 Jun 1941 in St. James Church, Batavia, Genesee, NY.(8)(52) (16) A service of simplicity marked the marriage Sunday afternoon of Miss Jeanette Wicks, dauther of Mrs. Lois Wicks of the West main Street Road, to Holt Edson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robvert Edson of Rochester. the ceremony took place a t 2:30 o'clock at the chapel of St. James' Church, the Very Rev. Alanson C. Davis officiating.
The bride wore a dusty rose street length dress of crepep with white accessories and a corsage of Starlight roses. Mrs. Leonard Kelsey, the brides' only attendant, wore a poudre Blue street length dress with white accessories and a corsage of Sunkist roses. Mr. Kelsey was the best man.
Mrs. Wicks, mother of the bride, chose a navy blue and white crepe dres an a corsage of briarcliff roses. Mrs. Edson, the groom's mother, wore a black suit with black accessores and a briarcliff rose corsage.
A reception followed form 4 to 6 o'clock at the brides's home, a hundred being present. Garden flowers in profusion were used in the house decorations. A buffet lunch was served. The dining room decorations were white candles, the center peice being a large tiered cake. During the evening, MR. and Mrs. Edson left by motor for the Adirondacks and upon their return will make their home at No. 93 Edinburgh Street, Rochester. Among those at the wedding were relatives and friends form Rochester, LeRoy, Alexander, Bushville, Niagara Falls, Oakfield, and New Cannan, CT.
Pre-nuptial events included a kitchen shower by Mrs. Kelsey, a personal shower by Miss Thelma Fuller and Mrs. Fred Land at the former's home in Rochester, a variety shower by Mrs. Gordon Way, a dinner and bridge party by the Thursday Night Bridge Club at Roxbury Inn, Brockport, when the bride was presented glassware, a dinner at Youngs's Restaurant and theater party by employees of the W.T. Grant Co. Store, a grocery shower by Mrs. Rober Augram of New Cannan, CT, at the home of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Robert Augram, a bathroom shower by Mrs. Arloa Schrander and Mrs. Irving Gear and an evening and five hundered party by Mr. and Mrs. Kelsy when the couple recived a table lamp. Holt Matthews EDSON (8) Photo was born on 27 Sep 1913 in Rochester, Monroe, NY.(8) (49) He died on 8 Nov 1977 in Genesee Hospital, Rochester, Monroe, NY.(51) (53) He was buried on 10 Nov 1977 in Pittsford Cemetery, Pittsford, Monroe, NY.(16) Holt worked for 25 years at the Rochester Savings Bank and over 10 years at the Ritter Co. He retired from the ( 28 years) US Army Reserves as a Chief Warrant Officer. He was in the 98th Div and 391st Reg. He was active in the Episcopal Church.
