36. James Weeks JONES (photo) was born on 25 Oct 1889. He died on 5 Nov 1943 in United States Veterans Facility.(7) Propgressive Batavian - James Weeks Jones, 54 of No. 56 Tracy Avenue, Assistant Genesee County Welfare Commissioner, died at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the United States Veteran Facility where he became a surgical patient a week ago. Born at Elba, Mr. Jones was the son of the late Charles and Vila Weeks Jones. He had resided at Elba and the vicinity of Batavia most of his life. During the first World War he served in the Mortor Transport Corps, enlisting on March 13, 1918. he was discharged on maarch 5, 1919. Mr. Jones was a member and past commander of Glenn s. Loomis Post, No. 332, American Legion. He was also a charter member of Voiture 40 over 8. Funeral services for MR. Jones will be held a 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Bohm Morturarywith the Rev. Jon T. Lyon of the Elba Presbyterian Church officiating. Services at the grave in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba, will be in charge of the American Legion. Friends may call at the morturay. He was buried in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba, Genesee, NY.
