7. Emiline WEEKS (photo) was born on 17 Jan 1822 in Farmington, Ontario, NY. (4) She died on 27 Mar 1873 in Elba, Genesee, NY.

She was married to Thomas GRIFFEN (son of Thomas GRIFFEN and Susanna IRELAND) on 7 Oct 1840. Thomas GRIFFEN was born on 18 Oct 1814 in Duchess Co. N.Y..(8) He died on 27 Aug 1891. Thomas Griffin, a brother of Daniel T., also a native of Dutchesss County, came to Elba with his father in 1820. He was a farmer and owned a saw mill. In 1833 he removed to Matthews, Talbot County, MD, where he remains. Emiline WEEKS and Thomas GRIFFEN had the following children:

child30 vii. Emily Susannah GRIFFEN was born on 11 May 1855 in NY. (1) She died on 5 Nov 1864. She was buried in Quaker Hill Cemetery, Elba, Genesee, NY.(4)
child+31 viii. Franklin Daniel GRIFFEN.
child32 ix. Hubert Amen GRIFFEN(4) (1) was born on 21 Jan 1860 in NY.(1) He died on 2 Mar 1948.(4) He was buried in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba, Genesee, NY. (4) He lived in Elba, NY and Maryland. Progressive Batavian - July 18, 1890 - Herbert Griffen has his home in MD, but the attractionsof his old home in Elba have brought him back and he dinedwith us Tuesday. He says MD may be a good country to get an easy living in but the farmer's chances are small for making money. In 1915 he was living in his sister's home.

child36 xiii. Lewis Joshua GRIFFEN(4) was born on 9 Jul 1868. He died on 24 Jan 1949.(4) He was buried in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba, Genesee, NY. (4) He was unmarried and lived in Philadelphia, PA. In 1917, he lived in Radnor Delaware, PA.
