39. Jane Eliza[beth] (Jennie) HAMMOND was born on 8 Apr 1849 in NY.⁽¹⁰⁾ She died on 9 Nov 1937. She was buried in Wyoming, Wyoming, NY.

She was married to James Harvey MCCHESNEY (son of Peter MCCHESNEY and Matilda Coyle SAYRE) on 31 Dec 1868. In 1870 they were living in the 7th Ward of Newark, Essex, New Jersey. James Harvey MCCHESNEY^{(10) (9)} was born on 20 Sep 1847 in NJ.^{(10) (9)} He died on 12 Dec 1885. ⁽¹⁰⁾ James served in the Civil War, having enlisted when only 19, at Trenton, NJ at the same place where his great grandfather enlisted in Revolutionary War. He had belonged to the militia a number of years. He was honorably discharged. He was a hat finisher by trade, but later spent some years in farming, and then worked in the rolling mills in Jolit, Ill, where he met with the accident which caused his death at 38.
In 1870 they were living in Orange, Essex, New Jersey. Jane Eliza[beth] (Jennie) HAMMOND and James Harvey MCCHESNEY had the following children:

97 ii. Wilbur Harvey MCCHESNEY^{(10) (16)} was born on 6 Aug 1875.⁽¹⁰⁾ He was an Officer in the Army somewhere in Georgia. He was still living in 1943.
98 iii. Henry Warren MCCHESNEY was born on 28 Jun 1877. ⁽¹⁰⁾ He died on 31 Aug 1878.⁽¹⁰⁾

She was married to Sanford P. MOON (son of Moses MOON and Charity). Sanford P. MOON was born on 31 Jul 1817 in Middlebury, Wyoming, NY.⁽¹⁴⁾ He died on 27 Jan 1904. ⁽¹⁴⁾ He was buried in Wyoming, Wyoming, NY. ⁽¹⁴⁾ He was a farmer.

She was married to Linus W. JORDAN. Linus W. JORDAN ⁽¹⁴⁾ was born on 17 Dec 1849 in Potter County, PA. ⁽¹⁴⁾ He died on 13 Sep 1914 in Middlebury, Wyoming, NY. ⁽¹⁴⁾ He was buried in Wyoming, Wyoming, NY. ⁽¹⁴⁾ He was a carpenter.
